Huh? I thought it was 1-3-5 and 1-4-5.

Put whatever length tippet you want. If it does turn over well, remove tippet. If goes splat, add tippet. One of the advantages of furled leaders is that you can use a shorter leader because it has a longer tippet.

Put 4 feet of 6X on the damn leader. You don't need a friggin 14 foot leader to catch fish

Yep, JT. I'll probably just end up using a regular 9 foot 5x leader that I cut off 6 inches of the 5x and tie an extra 18-20 inches of 6x tippet onto. If that don't work, I'll try the 12 foot furled leader as discussed. If that don't work, I'll just bag it, have a few drinks, and play some guitar. :D

Or you could just drive over to Stoney and fish a 7 ft leader with 4X Floro and a lime/dun EHC.
I caught 7 on it in 25 minutes a couple days ago :D
