So, my dear friend.... El- Croakus Maximus asked if I would tie a few Yellow Wing princes. I agreed and then a bit later he decides that he wants friggin beads on dem bugs.

Hell, I don't even know if I own a damn bead :x So I start hunting beads and I am grunting and growling like a boar fighting for a corn cob. St Carol asks what I am snorting at. I tell her and she starts laughing hysterically , which annoys me even more. I am tearing into dammed ass old fly tying stuff. Boxes flying, feathers floating, cat dubbing in clumps all over the floor.St Carol thinks that it is time to disappear . I dig into the last old box and holy shit !! Underneath a box of Zug Bugs and 71 mouse turds . I find a pack of those Sum Bitches. And more unbelievably --------the damn things will fit a #12 hook Damn if the price of YWP Nymphs is'nt going through the roof :o :o

I'm gonna go out on a limb and make the assumption that no one was harmed during the making of said flies?

BTW....this thread sucks without pics.

Johnnywonderfull, I appreciate the extroidamnary effort you have spent! There'll be some extra crawdads in the cauldron just for you...

Haven't tyed any flys smaller than size #8 in a long while. Dug around fer several hours and finally found some found Mustad size #14-16 dry and nymph hooks. Decided to warm up my fat fingers on something easy:

BTW--- The Patron Saint of PFF has an razor-sharp sense of humor and is one smart cookie 8-)

WTH is a zug bug?
