In case y'all missed it, the Fly Fishing Show is coming to the Atlanta Area this coming weekend, Feb 2-3. It will be at the Infinite Energy Center in Duluth, GA, just northeast of Atlanta, and right off I-85.

As usual, I'll be working the FFI Learning Center, along with Bamboo10, Peddler, and a few other guys that don't hang out on this board. This is easy driving distance from Atlanta, Greenville, Columbia, and parts of western NC. The new venue is bigger than the W-S location was, with abundant free parking. More vendors, more guides, more manufacturer's reps, even some new talent (plus the old familiar names as well.)

"New and Improved" etc., etc. Y'all really need to try to come at least for one day.

This is a large complex with multiple venues. Last year, there was a hockey game going on at the same time in the Arena, and it didn't affect us at all. The Fly Fishing Show will be in the Forum, which is the center section. It's a large open floor with a very high ceiling. Last year there were two casting ponds with demonstrations on each. It's quite a bit larger than the W-S show was.

Just went to the one up here this past weekend. Had not gone in a couple years, they moved it to a new location which was a lot larger. Before you had a tough time just walking up and down the rows, now there was plenty of room to enjoy yourself. Drove a little over an hour to get there, talked with some of the tyers I new then after an hour and a half to two hours drove home. I guess I'm like Ralph, really don't need any more stuff, as big as the show was there was nothing I found that I had to have. I guess its an age thing now, 30 years ago I would have been jumping on everything.

Coming from Damascus you cross hgwy 421 on to 91 and we camp about 1/4 mile on the right in Irby Howard's field.
