Made a couple day trips years ago to Atlanta when they had the Shallow Water/Fly Fishing shows on
through Sunday. About the same drive time as going to the Shows in Charlotte. Won't be able to make it to Atlanta this year.

Plumbob, good to hear from you! Hope to see you in Shady Valley.

Coming from Damascus you cross hgwy 421 on to 91 and we camp about 1/4 mile on the right in Irby Howard's field.

Finally found it, for some reason I thought it was in N.C.

Croaker- Didn't know you could get it from Amazon. If I get the jitters real bad I may have to order some. Not the same as getting it right from down there, there's a lot more love in each can down south. :D

Well, we had a great show anyway. A number of people did come from Charlotte, Raleigh and even Martinsville, VA. Of course GA and western NC were well represented as well.

The FFI Learning Center was right next to the Celebrity Fly Tier's Theater, so I got to watch the celebs. for a change. I got a lot of ideas out of Gary Borger's "Down and Dirty Flies". I even got to keep one of the flies he tied. Not a masterpiece, but something I will be duplicating. It was also fun watching Enrico Puglisi pitch his designs and materials, and Bob Clouser was his usual entertaining self. For some reason, though, I had never seen Tim Flagler tie in person, only in videos. He gave some excellent tips.

Good stuff! Looking forward to next year already.
