Is that a rotisserie motor? Where did you get it? How much did it cost?

Do I recognize those foam blocks? I cut mine with a hot metal coffee can. Makes perfect little circles.

I read some more since I started this about slow speed/ low rpm motors in diy projects. Found several folks using a motor from sewing machines and the carousels from microwave ovens. I will be on the look out for micro waves for parts.

Yep :)
Laid a circle on it and serrated knife. Belt sander for finish. Scraps made a nice tool caddy for the Jeep tying set :)

I found a disco ball motor on ebay for $12 if I remember correctly.

Groovy but the shaft is short. Required some creative epoxy work. I left it running for 2 weeks one time and it did not burn the house down.
