Been out of the game for a little while. Set my tying desk back up the other day. Now I have a question. What is the best web site for buying supplies, now? I need some stuff like hooks and someone I can trust to hand pick supplies for me. Thanks.

The best of course is to go buy in person.
I would suggest calling Rod at the South Holston Fly Shop and talking to him. http://www.southholstonriverflyshop.com/
I've also had good luck with http://www.feather-craft.com

I've done business with both of those, and never had a problem. Also, Ron at Hook and Hackle is still pretty good and Jamie at J Stockard has always done me right.

Apparently, the old classic Mustad hooks, that most of us have used for 40+ years, are no longer being manufactured. The signature series hooks are significantly more expensive without being significantly better. Change isn't always progress.

Both Unicoi Outfitters and South Holston Fly Shop take orders over the phone. Always liked doing business with both.

JSFlyfishing is about the cheapest you can get materials anywhere.
