Theron,
That's a great version of Ken's fly. They also cast surprisingly well, float well, and are effective trout catchers. Well done, sir.

Streamer,
I reckon I should thank Timbros for posting the iwamasa dun suggestion. Thanks pal. :D

I brought some home banding material scrap from work and crafted two wing burners that suited me better than the two I already had. Probably make a few more when I can pick up some brass shim material. The dove feathers were too soft, hen hackle is just right and california blue quail back feathers appear to be very usable too. Been experimenting some and the latest ties make my last pictured fly look like a reject. ;) Dunno how the flies will work but it's been fun tying them.

Anytime!

I don't know why I like Colorado Fly Tiers, but AK, Ed Engle, Iwamasa......Not a bad crowd to aspire to.

Nice lookin bug by the way!

Take Care,
Timbros.

The cut/burnt wings made a big difference last week. Still tweaking the design on a modified Iwamasa dun pattern but I think I'm on to something good. ;)
