It seems that most people tie these with a dyed (light olive?) CDC, as opposed to natural. However, to my eye, the wing on the real bug seems to be a colorless translucent. From a color standpoint, natural CDC seems a little closer. Any thoughts or comments on the use of colored v natural CDC? Thanks.

If it's translucent, then most of the Sulphurs I see have wings anywehre in color to whitish to medium dun. If you see a bunch of them with translucent wings, try a little z-lon an put the wings out to the sides and let 'em sit in the film. That might work.

Take Care,
Timbros.

In my experience the darker cdc wing (natural) works better if you use frogs fanny. Seems the light dun turns even lighter after a bit of treatments. The lighter wings get refusals or at least thats the way it sure seems to us.
