So after much ooohing and ahhing over "florican this" and "speckled flutterbird that" on many atlantic salmon fly websites, i asked for a whole plethera of tying materials for christmas, here's what they went to use for:

Colonel Fuller:
Hook: Standard Wetfly Hook, Size 10
Thread: Black Uni-8/0
Tag: Gold Flat Tinsel
Tail: Black Goose Shoulder
Body: Yellow Floss
Rib: Gold Flat Tinsel
Throat: Yellow Hackle
Wing: Yellow and Red Goose Shoulder

Hook: Standard Wetfly Hook, Size 10
Thread: Black Uni-8/0
Tag: Red Floss
Tail: Peacock Sword
Body: Silver Flat Tinsel
Rib: Silver Wire
Throat: Red Hackle

Tail Veiling: Barred Wood Duck
Butt: Black Ostritch Herl
Body: First Half - Yellow Floss; Second Half - Mix of Highlander Green superfine Dubbing and Bright Green Ice Dubbing in leiu of Highlander Green Seal's Fur Dubbing
Rib: Fine Oval Silver Tinsel
Hackle: Highlander Green Schlappen
Throat: Yellow Schlappen
Underwing: Golden Pheasant Tippets
Wing: Yellow, Red, and Highlander Green Goose shoulder, Then Different Shades of Mottled Turkey Quill in leiu of Florican Bustard, Peacock Secondary Quills, and Golden Pheasant Tail
Wing Veiling: Barred Wood Duck and Gadwall Flank
Cheeks: Jungle Cock Eyes
Cheek Vielings: ommitted for lack of suitable indian crow subsitute
Topping: Golden Pheasant Crest
Horns: Blue and Yellow Macaw

Not bad. Not bad at all. You need to get yourself over to the the Classic Fly Tying Forum (http://www.classicflytying.com) where you can get tips and critiques from the likes of Stack Scovill and Don Bastian. Those Bergman style wets are Bastian's specialty.

Oh yeah, Plumbob sometimes hangs out there too.

Nice job! I can see by the job you did on the Highlander that you must have also got a book or two also, proportions much better.
