Chub and shad imitations are two of the best out there. Nice work, Peewee.

Don't feel bad Smoke.
I recently made my annual pilgrimage to a old favorite creek I revisit each March. The water was high but clear. Last year's trip I landed 30 feisty rainbows from the little stream. It then appeared it was on the rebound after a couple years of a down swing due to low water and hot summers I suppose. Fish were few and far between on this last trip. I tried it all, dragged nymphs, dries with and without droppers. 7 takes, all on top and every last fish shook off, never touched a single one. Either my skills have gone to pot or things haven't been good for my little friends there. I spotted movement across stream at one hole at midmorning and from the laurels I witnessed three magnificent toms pirouette to a group of hens out in a sunny oak flat for about ten minutes. It was good to be outside even fishless.
Great looking streamers, I'm sure those will produce.
