I tied this tonight.
Hook: Mustad #3366 (what else?) size 6
Thread:140 Denier gray/green
Tail and Body: Red Maribou. Tie the tip in as a tail, twist the rest into a rope (it becomes a chenille) wrap to 2/3 shank length. Tie off
Belly: Silver/Gray Wing 'n' flash
Wing:(from bottom to top) Gold/Olive Flash, Olive Bucktail, Barred Spey Type Maribou (Chartreuse /Black barring) Tip-Tied and wrapped three turns. Tie off. cut thread. Dab nose with thick CA glue (Superglue)
Head: Gold Fish Skull. Push FS over eye of hook and seat into glue. Re-start thread with red 140 denier. Wrap a tapered nose in front of FS, whip finish and cement thread with SHHAN.

It should end up looking like this:

(Note that I had to mute the head into shadow to keep it from reflecting even the soft flash. It is actually a goldfish color.)

We now return you to our regularly scheduled broadcast.

Yer Pal,
Streamer

I've been seeing a lot of patterns using them and they look really good. Do they have a lot more weight then a cone. And somewhere, maybe here, someone said they ride hook up? That true. May just have to tie some up myself.

Gorgeous tie Mr Streamer!!!

I have it direct to me from two different in-person sources, one a guide and one a production tier in WNC, that an all black pattern tied w the fish skulz head is tearing 'em up on high water during generation on some certain tail waters.
That's all I'm saying. Happy Mother's Day. Consider this your gift. :)

One dozen, please. Seriously, though, can you bring a few to Unicoi? I would like to see them.

Sure, Aaron. We might tie a few up there as well.
