You laugh but I'd bet you could very well do that with poly yarn!

Brad,
I tried tying a flutterby but used a long dry hook. Standard will work better :) .

I found this pattern a few minutes ago and thought you might be interested in it, I sure am.

Theron that is a very nice looking fly. Love the way the wings done. Will attempt. I may tie some in gray and white for the bluegill that would be awesome layout for a common moth. Great looking caddis for sure.
