Been spending time looking at Trash Flies and admiring what Brad was doing. Saw this wool yarn and said why not try some bream flies. Tied up a couple in the insect green and ran to the lake for a taste test. Fished them like a slow sink bully and the gills really liked them. Put together some in brown and black and was getting hits on both. The collar comes alive in the water.

I like em'!! a pair of bead chain eyes might not hurt either since they're movin deeper. What kind of yarn exactly are you using? I was just thinking today about tying some beadchain eye buggers....but I like these better. :D

I thought about the bead chain eyes but I knew that I would never hear the end of it from JT.

Jil Eaton Minnow Merino yarn, got some in chartreuse and white, found some other black but its not at good at the Merino. Dyed some of the white with RIT for other colors.

If you want to try some let me know and I will swap you a bunch for a couple of Dr. Death flies.

Those look great :) Awesome take on the thought. Got to love yarn you can't beat the versatility and cost.
