A few years ago I decided to try and learn to tie my own flies. We were at a new fly shop started by a good man --Marty and his not so good sidekick Harvey. There was a hot dog cookout and I begin to meet a lot of new people from the forum.I was buying material and trying to learn a few flies.I saw JT teaching people to weave flies and he showed us the Johnny green caddis with dun hackle.A few nights ago I tried this just to say here is an idea JT taught me that day. Thanks be safe.Hope someday I can do it justice.

That dog will hunt.

I would suggest that you put 5-6 pieces of bleached elk hair on the top so your old eyes can see it.
When it gets wet, that shade of green will get much darker

Nice bug, sir
