Yeah Aaron Nice looking streamer !

If you are going to be fishing around rock or Oyster Humps Tie in some clouser eyes and that will turn to hook point upward

Boo Radley... You asked what we're working on. I'm working on getting Norm Norlander to come to the Southeast Council of the iFFF Festival at WCU in May.
He would have come with that spinning vise gizmo he makes last year but knee surgery kept him grounded.

Damn nice looking crappie flys. How much lead do you have in them ????
and what is that beige looking thing inside the body

Jt...no weight....the t-shirt paint, epoxy and hook add enough weight for me...I don't like em' very heavy. The beige thing is the hide from the rabbit strip.

B10S hook....size 4
silver wing&flash palmered on the shank, grey rabbit strip on top, white bucktail on bottom...affix eyes with t-shirt paint then coat with epoxy.

Elegantly simple. Being as it's about time for the spring crappie run around here, I may have to tie a few up to try.

Paul....another quick and easy pattern I've done well with is a B10S hook with silver tinsel wrapped up the shank, a small cheek of red dubbing or other material, some grey craft hair for the wing and a set of eyes. I'll try to post up a picture of one tommorow. (its my bedtime) :D

I should ask about the silver tinsel. Are you making a dubbing rope with flash in it, or is it a pre-made flash dubbing brush? The eyes look like those plastic dumbbell eyes that the CCG guys sell.

Its silver "wing and flash" I just pulled a little out folded it over the thread and then wrapped it onto the hook shank until it was bound in at the front....then brushed it out. The eyes are standard silver 3D eyes....a while back I got a good deal from China....like 1,200 eyes for $13 they are just stuck on with clear glitter t-shirt paint. That stuff works really well for applying eyes....let it dry then give a light coat of epoxy.
