Fishing most of the free time this weekend and then got a call that Healing Waters was coming up short on flies for next weekend. Didn't get anything tied for this yet.

My favorites are:
EHC
Thunderhead
Palmer

Good on the little streams around this part of WNC.

All good lookin flies, have to tie some up. Thought I'd give a Wood chuck cadddis a try. Something different for me will see if the fish like it.

Very nice Bob. Dad always hits me up for Kings River caddis with the turkey tail slip for the wing. Suits me fixing him up because they are so easy to tie! :D
Reread this, didn't mean to imply your fly was easy to tie Bob. Hope that didn't come across wrong.

I really liked your sheep fly but you have been hanging around JT to long. Cat fur dubbing will probably be mass produced before long. :D

Dang Grumpy, never knew you could tie. Great job on one of my old favorites.

Cat fur supply is readily available among my two cats, my friend's two cats, and the occasional visits to JT's Bear Ridge Estate. In fact, between me and JT, we might have the cat fur dubbing market cornered.

The Sheep Fly and the Thunderhead are two of the more historic Smoky Mtn. fly patterns, and I fish them both regularly on small streams in NC, TN, VA, and NY, and they both catch a lot of fish.

I'm partial to parachutes in SNP. Olive and orange seem to work year round ;)
