Just playing around with a foam mouse idea. I haven't figured out a ear yet.

This is mostly for farm pond bass. Not a pretty as spun deer hair. Just another direction on the mouse. The 'store bought' foam bodies are pricey to me. This is a gray 'flip/flop.

That is cool! What about tying foam (the stuff sold in the school isle at Walmart...LOL) for ears?
Not sure the fish would care, but the earless mouse IS freaking me out a little

Brad....you can cut slits where the ears go and then cut little ears out of chamois and insert them into the slit along with a drop of super glue....thats what I do on my fur mouse and did on the foam mouse(yeah I bought a few of those a long time ago....but did'nt care for them).I'll warn ya though....a little easier said than done....you know how things tend to go with super glue....it sticks to everything except what ya want it to.

Don't forget to shove a black map pin in his face for the nose!

Use Tyvek for the ears. Cut a slit, tuck the Tyvek ears into the slit, THEN seal the edges with FabriTac adhesive or the CA glue of your choice. No need to try to fill the slit with glue that way.

I really admire the way you experiment, Brad. Same thing happens to me when I'm tying streamers. You get to thinking, "What if I.......?" and then the Frankenstein gene takes over.

From what ever body was looking for in a mouse pattern I think this one fills the bill. I like how they put the spit hair wing on to give the impression of ears.
